AREA OF PRODUCTION:

The morainic hills of lake Garda in the local district of Lazise (classic area).

SOIL COMPOSITION:

From glacier origin, calcareous. Altitude 120m

GRAPE VERIETIES: Corvina (60%), Rondinella (35%), Merlot (5%)
VINEYARDS:

Plant row with 5000/5400 vines per hectare. The production is about 2,5 Kg per plant

GRAPE HARVEST:

Mechanical, from late September though the first week of October

VINIFICATION:

Mechanical harvesting, destemming in less then 45 minutes, 4/5 day long fermentation with grape skins

REFINEMENT: Steel vats
ALCOHOLIC CONTENT (% Vol):  12,5
NON-REDUCING EXTRACT (g/lt):  25,1
SERVING TEMPERATURE (°C):  14 – 16
CHARACTERISTICS:  

Intense ruby red colour with floral and cherry notes, velvety and structured on the palate, fruity aftertaste

FOOD PAIRINGS:

Red light wine, a fine companion for first courses, white meat and summer recipes
